Resurgence Comes to PC in Early Access — Free, Cross-Play, Cross-Progression
PCEarly AccessCross-Play
The Division Resurgence is now available in Early Access on PC via Ubisoft Connect, just under a month after its March 31 mobile launch. The PC version is free-to-play, with full cross-play and cross-progression across iOS, Android, and PC — you can switch devices and pick up where you left off.
Key Details
- Download client: Ubisoft Connect (not Steam at this stage)
- File size: approximately 17 GB
- Frame rate: locked at 60 FPS in Early Access, but without the visual fidelity caps of the mobile version — Very High graphics presets are supported
- Input: full mouse-and-keyboard support and native controller support; the on-screen UI can be toggled between “Keyboard/Mouse Exclusive UI” and “Controller UI” in
Generic Settings → External Device UI - PvP matchmaking is cross-platform — a Resurgence team has acknowledged the fairness question but has not announced platform-segregated PvP
- Account linking: Players signed in as a mobile guest should link their Ubisoft Connect account before playing on PC to preserve progress
Why This Matters
Until April 28, the only routes to play on PC were unofficial emulators. Ubisoft had previously declined to commit to a PC version. The shadow-drop happened approximately one hour before the official developer livestream announcing it, which surprised even Ubisoft Creator Program partners.
