Patch 1.2.1 Drops, Strawberry Milkshake Catches Heat, and Phase 3 Is Coming to Save Us All
Agents, a lot has happened in the last 48 hours. Ubisoft rolled out Patch 1.2.1 earlier today, the Phase 2 Classified Ops Pass exotic , Strawberry Milkshake , is officially getting reviewed for buffs, the subreddit has been screaming into the void about disappearing inventory, and Phase 3 is just around the corner. Here’s everything you need to know, with zero spin and exactly the right amount of suffering.
Patch 1.2.1 - Full Breakdown
Patch 1.2.1 is a hotfix, not a content drop. It exists to put out the fires that Phase 2 started when it launched on May 11–12. Full source: Ubisoft Mobile Help Center , Patch Note 1.2.1.
Compensation Package (Everyone Gets It - Yes, Even You)
Ubisoft is mailing this to every account automatically. Check your in-game mail:
- 500,000 Basic Credits
- 750 Phoenix Credits
No claim button. No special offer. No “limited time” timer counting down to make you feel worse about your life choices. Just money in your mailbox because things went sideways and Ubisoft knows it. This is the largest blanket payout we’ve seen from them so far, which tells you everything you need to know about how Phase 2 launch week went.
Vendor Fixes
The vendor had several issues. Here’s what’s now (theoretically) fixed:
- Fixed vendors not showing items the player could sell. (Classic.)
- Fixed players being able to sell locked or favored items. (Classic in the opposite direction.)
- Fixed the Dark Zone vendor missing item-name text. (How do you sell a gun with no name? You don’t. That’s the bug.)
Strawberry Milkshake - Fixes and the Big Admission
This is the section you’ve been waiting for. Directly from the patch notes, verbatim:
“We are aware that many players report underwhelming perks for the weapon and are looking into how this may be addressed.”
Translation: a buff is being discussed. Ubisoft is not promising timelines or numbers, but they’re putting it on record mid-phase rather than waiting until Phase 3 quietly ships a new exotic and hopes everyone forgets. That’s actually unusual behavior for a live-service dev team, and we’re choosing to interpret it as a good sign.
Other Strawberry Milkshake fixes in 1.2.1:
- Anarchy talent description fixed , it was showing the wrong effect value before. Now you can know exactly how underwhelming the DoT is in accurate numbers.
- Weekly mission Exotic Manual / Booklet rewards can now correctly drop Strawberry Milkshake recalibration material. Farm those manuals. Have them ready for when the buff lands.
Lone Wolf Challenge
The reset schedule was broken and is now fixed. It should refresh every 3 weeks as intended. If it doesn’t, report it via in-game support so the team can investigate.
Classified Ops Pass
Two ugly bugs got fixed:
- Fixed players who purchased the pass not receiving their purchase. If you paid real money and got nothing, you have our condolences and now also your pass.
- Fixed pass levels costing more than the listed in-game price. Ubisoft overcharged people on premium currency and is now fixing it. If you were hit by either of these, Ubisoft says to contact support via the in-game support button. Document your transaction ID.
Inventory Items Disappearing
The bug where items would randomly vanish when inventory was full has been fixed. Ubisoft also acknowledges that edge cases may still exist , so if it happens again, submit a ticket immediately and document everything with screenshots.
If you lost items before this patch? That’s currently on a case-by-case support ticket basis. Not great, not ideal, but better than the previous answer of “have you tried turning it off and on again.”
Localization Cleanup
Not glamorous, but real:
- “Sold Out” now translates correctly in the Specials store.
- Exotic Weapon Tactical Augmentations Cache translations added in the Dark Zone vendor.
- Untranslated text after purchasing deals in non-English languages fixed.
- “Text not found” placeholder for the Exclusive SHD Key reward fixed.
If you’ve been playing in a non-English language, Phase 2 has been an adventure in mystery text. 1.2.1 cleans a lot of that up.
Still Under Investigation (Known Issues, Still Not Fixed)
Ubisoft explicitly lists these as ongoing , they are aware, they are not fixed:
- Gamepad support issues on iOS
- “Outpost Annihilation” side mission not progressing (broken since launch , at this point it’s a cryptid)
- Some purchases still not being received in-game
- Tactical Augmentation reward from the Dark Zone quest cannot be claimed
- Weapon proficiency blocked in some cases
The Outpost Annihilation one is particularly impressive. It has been broken since beta. It is still broken. It will probably be broken when we’re all old men telling our grandchildren about the time a video game made us feel things.

Phase 2 Balance Changes Worth Knowing
These are not in 1.2.1 , these came in Phase 2 itself and are still in effect:
- Dark Zone Credits on skill mod dismantle buffed: Blue/Purple/Yellow went from 10/50/450 → 15/75/750. A long-requested QoL change that the community actually liked. A rare Ubisoft win.
- Tactical Augmentation Modules (weapon, gear, exotic) now give Encrypted Data instead of Clan Credits on dismantle. Better long-term economy.
- Warlord added to the Dark Zone Vendor , finally a reliable path to one of the strongest exotics in the game. Critical reminder: switch to Vanguard or your intended Firepower spec BEFORE buying so the rolls land on Firepower, not Engineering. Don’t waste the purchase.
- Strawberry Milkshake Tactical Augmentation Module added to the Dark Zone Vendor.
- +1 Exotic Weapon Enhancement Kit added to Dark Zone Vendor stock.
- Weekly Random Tactical Augmentation Module Crate added to the Dark Zone Vendor.
- +1 copy of regular Weapon and Gear Tactical Augmentation Modules added to the Clan Vendor.
- 60 FPS support on select high-end devices , Snapdragon 8 Elite-class hardware and PC are holding frame.
- Brain Over Brawns OS bug fixed , was scaling off the wrong stats. It now actually does what it says it does, which is apparently revolutionary.
Strawberry Milkshake - Weapon Watch
The Phase 2 free exotic LMG is the dominant conversation in the community right now, and for good reason. Let’s break down what’s actually confirmed vs. what’s Reddit math.
What’s Confirmed (Official Sources)
- Free reward on the Classified Ops Pass 1.2 track.
- Anarchy talent (description was wrong pre-1.2.1 , now fixed). Corrected values: 2.40% Weapon Damage DoT over 4.50 seconds, up to 50 stacks. Enemies dying with the debuff transfer all stacks to a nearby enemy within 12 meters. The old tooltip incorrectly showed 100% WD / 10 seconds / 25 meters , which is why every early build guide had wildly wrong expectations.
- Tactical Augmentation Module sold at the Dark Zone Vendor.
- Ubisoft is reviewing the perks for a buff. This is in writing. In the official patch notes.
What’s Unconfirmed (Community Reports)
- One bullet reportedly does ~7,900 damage. The Anarchy DoT reportedly does ~38 per tick. If you’re doing that math right now, yes, it’s as bad as it sounds. (u/N43n1r4 on Reddit, May 17–18 window.)
- The DoT allegedly spreads across multiple enemies on hit , the community comparison to Division 2’s Pestilence is everywhere right now.
The Verdict
Do not burn your recalibration materials on Strawberry Milkshake until the buff lands. Farm the Weekly Mission Exotic Manual drops to stockpile recalibration materials now, so you’re ready to move the second the updated numbers hit. We will have a dedicated build post up the moment the buff goes live.
What the Community Is Mad About (And Not)
Mad About
- Disappearing inventory. Multiple players have screenshots showing pre-Phase 2 inventories with items that vanished post-patch. 1.2.1 should stop new losses, but recovery of already-lost items is ticket-by-ticket. The 500K/750 Phoenix Credits mass payout today is a meaningful step toward compensating affected players.
- Outpost Annihilation is still bugged. The issue has persisted since beta and remains unresolved. Hopefully a future patch addresses it.
- Warlord proficiency wiping on some accounts , a community-reported bug that has hit iOS players especially hard. Still listed as under investigation.
- The sell function being unavailable for 3+ days for some players. Patch 1.2.1 directly addresses this one.
Actually Enjoying
- 60 FPS on supported hardware. The visual upgrade is real and the community on Snapdragon 8 Elite devices and PC is noticeably happier.
- Dark Zone Credit buffs on skill mod dismantling. Small change, loud reception , this is exactly the kind of QoL fix that keeps grinders grinding.
- Warlord in the DZ vendor. A real, predictable acquisition path for a top-tier exotic. The community waited for this. It’s here.
Roadmap - What’s Coming Next
Source: The Division Resurgence Roadmap: PC Launch, Story Expansion, and More (Ubisoft, April 28, 2026).
The Content Cadence
- New Phase every 6 weeks within a season.
- New Season every 4 months.
Simple enough. Now let’s talk about what’s actually coming.
Phase 3 - June 2026
The next real milestone. Per the official roadmap, Phase 3 brings:
- Scorpio , free exotic weapon on the Classified Ops Pass 1.3 track
- Freemen , full apparel set
- Boombox , weapon skin
Expect new time-limited events, a refreshed Classified Ops Pass, and almost certainly another wave of bug fixes and balance changes alongside the content drop. If the Strawberry Milkshake buff hasn’t landed by then, Phase 3 is when it shows up.

Season 2 - August 2026
- Full PC launch on Ubisoft Connect.
- Cross-progression and cross-platform play confirmed.
- Your current PC early access save carries over. No restart. No stat wipe.
Season 3 - Winter 2026
A major story expansion is coming. No mission details, no new exotics announced, no new specializations confirmed yet. We’ll cover it the moment Ubisoft says anything. Set your expectations to “intrigued but cautious,” which is exactly where they should be for a live service in its first year.

Bottom Line
Patch 1.2.1 is Ubisoft’s “we hear you” patch. The 500K Basic Credits and 750 Phoenix Credits compensation is the largest blanket payout the game has ever seen, and the list of acknowledged-but-not-yet-fixed issues at the bottom of the patch notes is unusually honest by live-service standards. Most studios bury those acknowledgments. Ubisoft put them in bold.
The Strawberry Milkshake buff confirmation is the most important content signal in this patch. Ubisoft is willing to revisit a flagship Pass exotic mid-phase rather than waiting until Phase 3 quietly makes it irrelevant. That’s a good precedent.
Phase 3 in June is the next real milestone. If you’ve been on the fence about grinding the current Pass, 1.2.1 should make the vendor flow functional again. The Encrypted Data conversion on Tactical Aug dismantles is a quiet but meaningful long-term economy upgrade that rewards consistent grinders.
We’ll have a dedicated build post the moment the Strawberry Milkshake buff numbers land. Full Phase 3 preview drops in June. Until then: keep your inventory screenshotted, keep your recalibration mats saved, and remember that Outpost Annihilation is a warning , not a mission.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happened in Division Resurgence this week?
The big stories: Patch 1.2.1 dropped with bug fixes, the community discovered the color bar damage type system, and the Strawberry Milkshake exotic continued to disappoint everyone who farmed it. Also, the DZ is still a warzone and Bulwark mains are still the most hated players in Conflict. Business as usual in post-apocalyptic Manhattan.
Is Patch 1.2.1 a big update?
It's a bug fix patch, not a content patch. Think of it as Ubisoft sweeping the floor after the Phase 2 party. The inventory bug fix was critical, and some weapon tuning happened under the hood, but no new missions, no new gear sets, and no new exotics. The real content drops are Phase 3 in June. 1.2.1 was a maintenance patch. Important but not exciting.
When is Phase 3 coming to Division Resurgence?
June 2026 is the current target. Phase 3 is expected to bring the Scorpio exotic, the Freemen apparel set, and potentially a new PvP mode. Specific dates haven't been confirmed because Ubisoft announces dates approximately 48 hours before the content drops. We'll cover it the moment it's official.
